Although children may be encouraged to seek grief counseling after the death of a loved one or community member, they may not feel ready. I work with parents who want to learn how they can provide support to children experiencing such losses.
At a time when a parent may also be dealing with his or her own grief, it can be very difficult for that adult to focus on the child’s grief. I provide support and consultation to parents who need help focusing on the needs of their child during such difficult times and making decisions that are in the child’s best interest.
