Interview with Diane Rehm
Diane Rehm shares her thoughts with me about her book, On My Own
In March 2018, at an event sponsored by the Washington School of Psychiatry, I interviewed Diane Rehm, who for nearly four decades hosted the The Diane Rehm Show on NPR. Diane spoke about her book, On My Own, sharing her thoughts and feelings about her husband, John Rehm, and the final days of his life. John made the decision to end his suffering from Parkinson’s disease by refusing food, drink, and medication. After his death, Diane became an advocate for medical assistance in dying. In the interview, Diane spoke openly with the audience and me about her grieving process and her life since the loss of her husband.
