Fees and Insurance
Sessions and Payment
Individual therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes. Couples therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes. Payment is expected at the time of service. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my professional services qualify for full or partial reimbursement from most insurance companies. I do not participate with any insurance plans as a participating provider. I do participate as an out-of-network provider for plans that have out of plan benefits. You will be provided with a billing statement at the end of each visit, which will include dates of service, charges, payment and appropriate codes required by insurance companies.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide 48-hour notice if you would like to cancel or change an appointment. If you do not provide this notice, you will be charged the full appointment fee.
Good Faith Estimate
As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the cost of your care. The Good Faith Estimate shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. I will provide a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) for psychotherapy services as required by the No Surprises Act of 2021 upon request. The document will be written for the entire year and sent to you in a password protected document. The Good Faith Estimate does not include unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.
If you would like to learn more about the Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-368-1019. Keep a copy of the Good Faith Estimate in a safe place.
